Violetta Flowers was founded in 1992, and we just celebrated our big 20 year anniversary! Hard to believe. I have loved every minute of it.
Initial consultations are always free. You need to meet us, see our portfolio, and share your vision so we can give you a sense of how we’d bring your event to life. It’s also important to be comfortable with the working style and personality of your floral designer.
Sample arrangements are FREE, once we have a signed contract. It’s all part of our Total Service program.
Yes, but this is negotiated up front in the original contract, so there are no surprises.
Ideally, we like to have 3 to 6 months to plan wedding flowers, but we always try to accommodate last minute requests. Corporate and other events that don’t have as many moving parts can be planned in a week or two without any problem.
We accept cash, check and all the major credit cards: Amex, MC and Visa via Paypal. For large events, we do require a deposit, which is non-refundable.
No, we have the same rate for all floral and event design projects and events.
Total Service means we are there every step of the way, from planning to implementation. We will be there at your event to pin the corsages on your groomsmen, and will keep corsages cool and misted until the minute they are needed.
Absolutely! That’s part of our Total Service Program. We can even remain on site to maintain quality and oversee transitions.
We provide linens, props, furniture, lighting and staging in addition to florals. We can also recommend fabulous photographers, caterers, cake designers, locations, and even event planners. We will do whatever is necessary to create your perfect event.
Since we’re based in San Francisco, we do the majority of our business in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. So that means we work primarily as far north as Mendocino and Napa, as far east as Solano and Contra Costa Counties, and as far south as Monterey County. And of course, everything else in between! But we have worked on occasional florals and events as far away as Vancouver and Mexico! Hey, if you need us in Hawaii, we can probably arrange it!
No, Violetta Flowers is exclusively a studio business. We have a wonderful warehouse studio that we share with two other floral designers in San Francisco, so we can meet clients there to consult on their special event. But we mostly go to our clients, which I think is a really important customer service component.
We have a wide range of clients. We love to work with brides to create unique wedding and event designs, but we also have worked extensively with luxury hotels, award-winning restaurants, celebrities and corporations.
Indoor weddings, outdoor weddings, casual weddings, formal weddings, church weddings… the whole gamut. But it's not just for weddings. We are also often called upon to create baby shower corsages, bridal shower centerpieces, as well as florals for bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs, wedding anniversary parties, corporate events, birthdays, quinceaneras, formal dinner parties, you name it.
I have so many favorites: white anemones, peonies of all colors, gloriosa lilies, dahlias, lilies of the valley, freesias. Every season offers a different palette to paint with. I adore interjecting surprising elements such as berries, feathers, crystals and moss.
