We started with a simple, elegant clutch of blush calla lilies for the bridal bouquet… enchanting. And the bride loved peonies, so we used them – stunning and bold in pink and magenta – as a central element in the bridesmaids' bouquets and all the floral decorations. To this we added cabbage roses, cloud asters, jasmine and pink hydrangeas. The pink bouquets and boutonnieres were a surprising and spectacular pop of color against the pewter and black tones worn by the bridal party.
The Garden Court is the only luxury boutique hotel in Palo Alto, and it offers elegant architectural detailing which is a marvelous canvas for creating a totally unique and personal event experience. We used a window arch to build a beautiful pink hydrangea garland to frame the ceremony. We created tall floral topiaries for the banquet tables, with jasmine vines draping down to the table tops. And we floated candles in tall glass urns above submerged peonies, which became magnified through the water. The bride, of course, was gorgeous.
“This was the third wedding we did for this one family,” said Arlene Boyle, owner of Violetta Flowers. “ I felt I was really getting to know them. The crowning glory was later having the opportunity to provide the flowers for the mother’s wedding!”
